Larry started his career as an engineer in communications systems research, product development, and engineering management at Motorola, Inc. Following a central role in Motorola’s quest for six sigma quality, he was named the head Knowledge Management at Motorola University, and was promoted to Chief Learning Officer (CLO) for the Cellular Division at Motorola. Larry left Motorola to serve as the CLO for The American Express Company and then for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. His contributions in these roles have included development of talent strategies and implementation of company-wide programs that have led to measurable increases in employee engagement, retention, leadership supply, and organization capability. Most recently Larry is the Founder and CEO of Jubi, Inc. Jubi is a learning transfer platform that delivers improved performance outcomes at large scale.
Larry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the S.U.N.Y at Buffalo, and a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He holds three international patents and is the co-author of the Wall Street Journal best-selling book “Networking is Dead: Making Connections that Matter”. He has been featured as the cover story in Chief Learning Officer Magazine and is a contributing author to the books “Courageous Training: Bold Actions for Business Results” and “Talent Management: Strategies from Six Leading Companies”.
